I’m at the Manta Air seaplane lounge waiting for the flight to the first resort we’re going to. We’ve got close to 2 hours before the flight so I thought I’d just update this blog. I was vaping outside in the balcony and after about 15 minutes the staff inside approached me to tell me that smoking is not allowed in the entire premises. Well, I wasn’t informed. There are also no ‘no smoking’ signs anywhere. It’s fine though, I got my fill for now.

I didn’t sleep well in the plane from Seychelles to Sri Lanka (Colombo), it was a 4-hour flight and I guess I wasn’t tired enough. We were at the Colombo airport for 3 hours, my sister wasn’t feeling up for anything and almost all the restaurants, post office and Buddhist book stall was still closed. We basically just sat at a sitting area and waited for our flight to Male. It was a 1-hour flight but I was able to get into a deeper sleep so I feel as rested as one can feel with this kind of route.

The cats were both visible in our home CCTV, so I’m glad that they’re both alright. We monitor both of them daily and on a regular basis.

Ate the vegan food that was served on Air Seychelles at around 11pm, and then ate a vegetable hot pocket that was served on Sri Lankan Airlines at around 7am or so. Before that I had 3 Biscoff biscuits (had to finish it up before I left) and Lays Salt & Vinegar potato chips. That means my caloric intake in Seychelles was around 300 calories. I would estimate the plane food I ate to be a total of 500 calories. I only drank water. I will weigh myself as soon as we get to the hotel so I can know where I’m at and that will also help my decision on whether or not I’ll be having lunch or skipping it.

As I was typing this and talking to my sister who is seated next to me, a staff came by to tell us that the flight to the resort has been delayed for another 45 minutes. This is just ridiculous. What am I supposed to do during this time? I cannot vape, cannot eat until I’ve weighed myself and there are no beds so it’s not like I can rest at least. I guess I could spend the next 1.5 hours watching Youtube or reading a bunch of things on Reddit. I don’t really have any deep thoughts I’m thinking about right now so I have nothing much to include because I’m fighting against some level of fatigue.
